About Kimberlee Tarr Schumacher
Kimberlee Tarr Schumacher is the Founder and Principal of KTS Consulting and Interim Leadership. She is a seasoned strategy expert and executive with over two decades of experience consulting for and leading mission-driven organizations. Her career began as a management consultant and evolved to include leadership roles in health and human services and community organizations, such as Director of Health Care Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Vice President of Partnerships and Services at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, and CEO of a Big Brothers Big Sisters Boston-affiliate.
Returning to her passion for strategy and interim executive leadership, Kimberlee excels in client engagement, including interim executive director roles and leading strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds, succession planning, crisis response, strategic planning, and fundraising growth. Throughout her career, she has trained and coached dozens of nonprofit CEOs and board leaders, equipping them with strong organizational practices across strategy, finance, human resources, fundraising, governance, and operations.
In addition to consulting, coaching, and interim leadership, Kimberlee is an accomplished speaker and workshop facilitator for staff and board leaders. Her academic contributions include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in management and organizational behavior at Northeastern University and Brandeis University. She holds a BA from Brandeis University, an MA from the University of Wisconsin, an MBA from Northeastern, and is currently pursuing a PsyD in organizational leadership from William James College.
Kimberlee is passionate about supporting strong leaders in their efforts to create healthier and more impactful organizations.
